Shadows depend on the materials of the object, whether they are opaque or translucent. Additionally, shadows' color and density depend on the characteristics of the translucency. Therefore, the appearance of the shadows vary from one pair of glasses to another, or even between the different parts of the same pair, most often around the hinges where different materials meet.
