What challenges or needs led you to explore virtual try-on technology in the first place?
Our primary need came from supporting Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) in clearly and confidently explaining lens options to their patients.
A lens simulator and virtual try-on solution allowed patients to better understand and experience their lens selections without requiring physical samples, ultimately improving confidence and decision making at the point of care.

Integrating HOYA LensPreview into our HOYA ecosystem for both our customers and sales team was a seamless and well coordinated experience.
From initial planning through launch, the project followed a clear timeline supported by regular weekly calls. These check-ins ensured alignment across teams, kept the project on track, and allowed us to implement the solution efficiently and accurately within our existing digital ecosystem.
What has been the response from Eye Care Partners and their patiens to the LensPreviewTM feature in stores?
Overall, we’ve received very positive feedback from our Eye Care Partners. Many have shared that patients appreciate the modern, technology-driven approach to showcasing lens options.
LensPreviewTM has helped practices better communicate the benefits of different lenses while creating a more engaging and interactive patient experience.
It has also proven to be a strong differentiator for partners, setting them apart from practices that have not yet adopted advanced digital tools.

Can you share any sales metrics or KPIs you have achieved since implementing the LensPreviewTM ?
We are currently partnering with our Business Intelligence team to build a comprehensive reporting dashboard that will allow us to consistently monitor sales metrics and KPIs moving forward. While this work is still in progress, early results from our initial pilot program were very encouraging. During the test phase, we observed an increase in sunwear sales, indicating strong early adoption and positive impact at the practice level.
The customers who access the Hoya Lens Preview feature have seen an average increase for their sales of related products of 9% (vs. prior to using the LensPreview feature).
How does the performance of our solution compare to your initial expectations?
This project was new for both our internal team and our customer base. However, as we progressed through the pilot, it became clear that LensPreview offered far greater value than originally anticipated.
Beyond serving as a visualization tool, it emerged as a meaningful sales enabler helping practices drive increased purchases of photochromic lenses, second pair sales, and premium lens options.
The solution exceeded our initial expectations by not only solving a logistical challenge but also positively influencing purchasing behavior and patient engagement/
